At each event the participants sign-in, get their picture taken (the only speed dating/networking concept that does this), and receive a scorecard and the person they start Speed Mingling with. It is the designated person from which participants meet their first of up to 25 connections. The scorecard allows participants to track their interest in each connection. Once the event commences, every 4-minute, the timer sounds to indicate the movement of the participants to the next person and to begin the next connection. Marking an "X" under the "Touchdown" category scores a positive result while marking an "X" under the "Fumble" category scores a negative result. A mutual connection is achieved when both participants mark "Touchdown" after their 4-Minute's. The mutual match results for each participant, which include each match's picture, first name, and email address on MySpeedMingle.com, are given by online after the event. It is then left to the participants to contact their connections.
